Meet the Team
Gary Roberts the firms’ Principal qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and since specialising in 2009 has represented over 8000 clients charged with drink and drug driving related cases.
The firm’s reviewing lawyers have day to day management of your case including Laura Heywood (qualified 2011), Sandra Cooper (qualified 2013), Neil Blackaby (qualified 2005) and Stephen Parker (qualified 1991) who specialise in this complex area of law.
For representation at court we have a panel of specialist in-house lawyers or we may instruct barristers chambers or solicitor agents.
All lawyers are thoroughly briefed with the firms tried and tested methods to achieve the best possible outcome for your case. We never simply pass the case to someone else.
Our caseworkers and admin team will support you and are available to discuss any aspect of your case. Our accounts team can help if you need time to pay.
Proven track record
We have a proven track record in avoiding driving bans for our clients (one barrister has 100% success rate for the firm in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2022) and for reducing disqualification by 50% in other cases.
We are one of the very few, if not the only firm of solicitors in England and Wales which deals with drink and drug driving related cases and nothing else.
As such you can rest assured you will receive a first class service with a firm that genuinely specialises in drink and drug driving related cases at a fraction of the price of many other firms.
Our approach
Having the right representation is critical to avoid a ban. Many firms tell you it is not possible to keep your licence on a drink driving charge because they only do guilty plea cases or they don’t have experience of police procedure and case strategies.
We on the other hand, will explore every possible avenue to avoid a ban including
• review video footage for mistakes in police procedure
• use legal remedies for dismissal of charges where non-disclosure of evidence prevents a fair trial
• offer plea bargains for penalty points instead of disqualification
• make representations to the police to take no further action before the case reaches court
- invite the prosecution to discontinue charges before trial
National coverage
As our name ‘National Motoring Lawyers’ suggests we offer a national service covering courts throughout England and Wales.
